We are excited to expand the reach of the Family Child Care at Its Best (FCCB) curriculum by training partner facilitators to offer FCCB workshops for their communities. This course is limited to those who have completed the Intro to FCCB for Partner Facilitators course.
This course provides the foundational knowledge for facilitating the Child Observation workshop.
Please carefully review the dates and times below to ensure you can attend. You must complete the online work in Canvas and attend all live Zoom. No make-up sessions are available. After completing the course and receiving authorization, you may facilitate this FCCB Workshop topic in your community free of charge to participants.
The 5-week course includes:
- 5 hours of self-paced online work completed on Canvas
- 10 hours of live online training via Zoom (for a total of 15 hours) across three dates:
Observation of two 3-hour FCCB virtual workshop sessions.

1/31/26, 9am- 12pm (Part 2 Workshop) - Facilitation demonstration via Zoom with feedback.

Week 1:
Complete online self-pace Canvas prework to prepare for workshop observation. (1 hour)
Observe the FCCB Child Observation, Part 1 Workshop. (Online synchronous session)
1/24/26, 9am – 12pm (3 hours)
Week 2:
Complete online self-paced Canvas prework to prepare for workshop observation. (1 hour)
Observe the FCCB Child Observation, Part 2 Workshop. (Online synchronous session)
1/31/26, 9am- 12pm (3 hours)
Week 3:
Complete Canvas prework to prepare for the Practice and Delivery of FCCB training session. Self-paced, asynchronous work (2 hours)
Complete the Canvas prework to receive the Zoom link for the Practice and Delivery of FCCB training session.
Week 4
Attend the facilitation practice with feedback from FCCB Lead Instructors. (Online synchronous session)
2/12/26, 8:30am-12:30pm (4 hours)
Week 5
Review the FCCB Lead Instructor feedback in Canvas and complete your final reflection. Self-paced, asynchronous work (1 hour)
Those who successfully complete this FCCB Training of Partner Facilitators course will receive access to the topic’s full curriculum and will be authorized to facilitate the Child Observation workshop as an FCCB Partner Facilitator.
